Description
A group of two Japanese Senninbari from the Sino-Japanese Wars. ++ A WWII Sino-Japanese War Senninbari belt. Dated, 12th year of Showa period (1937), Oct 18, 1937. Having Kanji character "Tora"(tiger) in the center, with shrine seals and the Tokugawa family Mon. 7" x 46". ++ A Sino-Japanese War Senninbari. Including a cloth with the depiction of a tiger. Senninbari: 12 1/2" x 80". Silk cloth: 12 1/2" x 6 3/4". ++ A Senninbari pouch with a fan. It reads 'Shina Jihen Kaken" (The China Incident Dispatch), "Zou Furuichi Masao Sama" (For the honorable Furuichi Masao). Senninbari; 14" x 12". Fan; 9" x 15 1/2".From the Japanese Militaria and Art Collection of John Woodall.
