Framed and matted 12.5 x 10.75'' White House etching personally inscribed in blue ink to Mary Gallagher by Jacqueline Kennedy reading "For Mary- with affectionate regards from Jacqueline Kennedy." Etching is also dated in Jacqueline Kennedy's handwriting "Christmas 1961." Accompanying the etching is a 4.5 x 3.5'' gift card on White House stationery with a handwritten note inscribed "For Mary Merry Christmas & Love Jacqueline Kennedy." The gift card comes in its original White House envelope hand-addressed to Mary Gallagher by Jacqueline Kennedy.

Each year, during the Kennedy administration, Jacqueline Kennedy would select a special print to serve as a Christmas gift . Often confused with the White House Christmas cards, these special framed prints were given only to family, staff, close friends, and associates. In 1961 Jacqueline choose a beautiful winter etching of the East Wing and entrance of the White House.
