Description
Bust portrait of the courtesan Hinazuru, holding a doll. She is dressed in a yellow kimono with white flowers, and pink and green underrobes.
Chokosai Eisho was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist active at the end of the 18th century. He also used the name Shoeido. Eisho's personal details are unknown. His works that remain show a practiced skill, so it is likely that they appeared after years of apprenticeship.
