Asia, Japan, Meiji Restoration, ca. late 19th century CE. A beautiful, light lacquer card case with a removable lid. The body of the case is painted a shimmering green with delicate gold leaf patterns painted on its surface. The interior of the case is dark red, with a thin inset that the lid fits over. Size: 2.9" W x 4.75" H (7.4 cm x 12.1 cm)
