**First Time At Auction**
Native American, Southwest, northeastern Arizona, Hopi, Adelle T. Nampeyo (b. 1959), ca. late 20th century CE. A polychrome, rounded ovoid seed jar with an elegantly turned shoulder, skillfully painted with four abstract bird effigies in hues of red, chocolate brown, and cream. Signed "Adelle T. NAMPEYO" with a sweet corn symbol below on the base. Adelle was born into the Hopi-Tewa Nation in 1959 and is one of the great granddaughters of the famous Nampeyo. Her pottery is found in many galleries, collections, and museums. Size: 4.5" W x 4.125" H (11.4 cm x 10.5 cm)
