Description
English, possibly Scottish, second half 19th century. A Victorian mahogany chest of drawers having a serpentine molded top over a projecting conforming frieze drawer and two short over two graduated long drawers, each with mother of pearl inlaid escutcheons, the individual locking mechanisms stamped "PATENT and flanked to each side with scrolled leaf and nut pilasters The whole raised on serpentine plinth with block feet. Approximate height 37.62", width 50.62", depth 22.12". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Mrs. Eugenia Dobson of Eugenia's Antique Hardware in Atlanta, Georgia.
