**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. A lovely grouping of West Mexican pottery fragments. Five pottery heads, each uniquely styled and colored with russet, citrine, or cream hues, with wide heads, stylized faces, broad ears, and protruding noses. One head, carved from a porous cream-colored stone, featured round eyes with slits in the middle, a raised and biconically-drilled nose, and no mouth. A table with a flat top and three legs as well as a circular pipe bowl with a shallow cavity as well as notched and incised designs along the outer periphery are the only non-head items in this gathering. A lovely ensemble for any collector of Pre-Columbian artifacts or pottery in general! Size of largest item: 3.3" W x 3.5" H (8.4 cm x 8.9 cm).
