Description
EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS (OMN) NEAR PAIR OF OPEN COMPOTES, colorless lead glass, each with seven rows of thumbprints, 32-scallop rims, double-step hollow stems with 12 flutes, circular feet with 24 scallops and a single row of 24 thumbprints underneath, each wafer construction. Bakewell, Pears & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 9 1/4" and 9 1/2" H, 11 1/4" DOA rims.
One undamaged, other nearly undamaged with a single moderate pattern bruise.
