1907 US $5 "Woodchopper" legal tender note, depicting the portrait of President Andrew Jackson, engraved by Alfred Sealey (New York, 1815-1868) after a painting by Thomas Sully (Pennsylvania/England, 1783-1872), left, with a vignette of a woodchopper and his family engraved by Henry Gulger (Germany/United States, 1816-1880), center. Serial # B36990184/ pp D. FR # 85. Napier/McClung signatures. Provenance: the collection of the late James A. Newman (Nashville, TN, 1892-1964).
