Seymour Etienne Bottex (Haiti, 1922-2016) acrylic on masonite board painting depicting a Haitian woman in a red dress and blue head scarf with a platter of fruit and hanging fish on her head. Signed with location "S.E. Bottex Cap-Haitien", lower right. Inscribed "T. Scarpa" en verso. Float mounted in a contemporary wooden frame. Board - 20" H x 16" W. Framed - 20 3/4" H x 17" W. Condition
Overall good condition. Two vertical scuffs, largest 3", lower right of board. 1/8" loss to paint, top left corner of board. 1/2" brown mark, lower left of board.
