Description

Louis XV-Style Ebonized and Bronze-Mounted Bureau Plat

early 20th century, the top with an inset brown leather blotter with a tooled border, having one long frieze fitted with three drawers, raised on cabriole legs ending in bronze scrolled toes.
h. 30", w. 64", d. 30"

Condition

In very good polished and restored condition. The leather top exhibits surface irregularities and craquelure, with subsequent over-polishing. Normal shrinkage and minor mars and wear to the surface. Some normal oxidation to metal mounts. The center drawer is currently locked and lacking its key. The two end drawers open and close smoothly.
