This is a gorgeous matched sterling silver ice cream knife and server, made in Paris by Eusèbe Callot between 1847 and 1865 (The Napoleon III Period). The are each covered in opulent decoration. Their gilt blades are hand-etched and hand-reticulated in a swirling leaf and branch design. Their handles are regal and column-like, with floral, foliate, and scrolling details. These servers are in excellent condition and make a beautiful pair. They both measure about 10 1/2" long. Their combined weight is 232 grams, or 7.46 Troy ounces. They are marked with the Callot maker's mark.
