A fantastic, patinated bronze sculpture of an eagle by Antoine Louise Barye (1796 – 1875), a Romantic French sculptor of animals. This is possibly a lifetime cast and shows the eagle in a dynamic pose with head to its left and wings aloft. 4 ¾ in x 8 ½ in x 7 ½ in (11.4 x 21.7 x 19.1 cm).
