Description
A Georgian / George III English sterling silver tea pot and matching tea stand. Hallmarks for Duncan Urquhart and Napthali Hart, London, 1799 (the tea stand only has the maker's mark of Napthali Hart). Ribbed melon formed teapot with black ebonized wood handle and finial. The teapot and stand with chased decoration depicting a central laurel leaf wreath, surrounded by flowers, leaves and foliage. The teapot measures 6.75" high to top of handle, 10-5/8" long from end of spout to end of handle, 4.5" wide. The stand measures 1-1/8" high, 5.75" wide, 4-1/8" deep. Overall weight of the two pieces, 18.115 troy oz (563.45 grams).
