This incredible French train set is complete with accessories, track, and its original box that features a beautiful box lid with an image of ships, castles, light houses, windmills, and soldiers that must have captured the imagination of the original lucky owner one hundred or so years ago. The locomotive is a clockwork 0-4-0 with charming proportions and an orange boiler with yellow details. These French trains have a unique look different from German trains of the same era, and this set is a great example. Its cars feature chain links as couplers, and small lead cast wheels. The train set and accessories are all hand painted, and the small trees that are included are a great addition to a train layout that isn't seen very often with trains of this era.
