BRADLEY & HUBBARD FIGURAL CHERUB BANQUET STAND LAMP, cased red/ruby with satin finish ball-form Pittsburgh Melon shade, top with brass trim ring, cast-spelter figural stem of cherub within scrolls supporting an urn-form openwork font holder with scroll and acanthus leaf pattern, interior with embossed patent dates, cast-iron openwork foot with underside embossed "B & H 4923", brass drop-in font with side-refill feature. Fitted with a No. 2 B & H slip burner. Late 19th/early 20th century. 30 3/4" H to top of shade, 19 3/4" H to top of font, 6 1/2" SQ foot. Shade 10" H, 4" D fitter.
Very good condition, bottom of stem with two small holes, as made, shade with three as-made dimples and moderate wear, including some small satin losses, fitter with chips/flakes/roughness primarily to casing and minutely affecting the profile, trim ring with denting, font with light denting and several splits, interior with a sealer coating. Burner with several scattered solder repairs.
