ALEXANDER WILSON (SCOTTISH/AMERICAN, 1766-1813) ORNITHOLOGICAL PRINTS, LOT OF TWO, hand-colored engraving on paper (each), from "American Ornithology: or, The Natural History of the Birds of North America", one featuring a "Great Footed Hawk", Plate 76, engraved by Alexander Lawson; the other featuring a "Virginian Rail", Plate 62, engraved by J. G. Warnicke. Each matted and housed under glass in a modern frame. First half 19th century. 10 3/8" x 13 3/8" sight, 16 1/2" x 19 1/4" OA.
Each with overall toning and foxing, staining to bottom edge. Not examined out of frames.
