Chippendale Walnut Flat Top Tall Case Clock. Circa. 1760-1780. 30 hour movement, German dial signed "FRANZ JACOB/BRAUN/EBERBACH" above "A.M. Kecker" on brass spandriels, pewter ring with Roman numerals with alternating sprig motif. Identical dials were used by Lancaster, PA clockmaker George Hoff. Cove molded hood with turned column supports, cove molded waist, chamfered corners, arched top lip molded pendulum door, molded base with ogee bracket feet. Founder of the Ephrata Cloister immigrated from Eberbach Germany. 88-1/2"h. Condition: Good with wear and losses to feet. Age cracks.
