Unusual 5 1/2" handmade duck call with single plastic reed, wood tone board, single brass collar band. Maker is unknown. Features include a burl walnut barrel with single turned lanyard ring; stopper appears to be of the same type burl walnut showing what appears to be a single laminated band of lighter type wood with wooden wedge holding the single metal reed. There are two tiny cracks to the inside rim of stopper that stop at the laminate (1/4"). This may have been a repair in the initial building of this call. Call shows a hint of in-use wear, oil finished barrel and stopper, great tone, very loud. A single old fraying cotton string lanyard accompanies this call. $50-100. (YC)
