Description

Lou Reineri dove decoy with glass eyes, incised bill, carved wing/tail feathers. This is a seldom encountered species of bird from the outstanding artist formerly of Havre de Grace, MD. Reineri's work has been featured in a number of decoy auction/retail prices as high as $1200 for a single specimen. The detailed feather carving on this bird is lifelike, the paint is original and in mint condition. Note the detailed carved feet. Bird measures 11" OAL x 2 1/4"W x 7"H and is signed and dated 1998 on bottom of integral stand. $100-200 (DOS-11206)
