Description
The thickly carved sceptre is decorated to the ruyi-shaped head with tourmaline, lapis lazuli, and soapstone inlay depicting two bats in flight above peaches on the branch. The elongated quatrefoil middle section is decorated with a leafy lily in agate and a turquoise aster, and the shaped end section of the sceptre is decorated with lingzhi fungus growing from a rocky base crafted from various hardstones. The reverse with an incised and gilt apocryphal Qianlong seal mark. The stone is of an even pale celadon tone with light veins and inclusions.
Condition: Appears to be in overall good condition, a minor bruise to the base of the sceptre, with associated area of natural inclusion to the stone; a few tiny nicks.
