This wonderful solid brass screen opens to almost 38� wide. When closed, the screen will store into a small space since the base is only 8" wide, less than 6" deep and under 27" tall. The cast brass base and frame has art nouveau designs. The nine blades of the sheet brass fan have a repeating geometric patterns cut out in them, characteristic of art nouveau designs. Each side of the fan has a folding latch to keep the fan blades in place when closed. The fan blades feature an ingenious slotted sliding mechanism allowing them to open and close smoothly and keeping them in sequence. The screen is in good condition and is fully operational for use in front of your fireplace.
