Description

Dull Finish ewer decorated in 1886 by Albert Valentien with a pair of birds in flight, impressed decoration on the neck and fired on gold highlights. Impressed ROOKWOOD, 1886, shape 101 A, Y for Yellow clay and Mr. Valentien's incised initials. Excellent original condition with a tiny spot of roughness at the rim which occurred during firing. Height is 11 5/8 inches.
