Description

Title: The London Shakespeare, six volumes. Publisher: Simon and Schuster. Publication Date: 1957. Binding: Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket. This is the Simon and Schuster 1957 hardcover publication of "The London Shakespeare", a new annotated and critical edition of the complete works in six volumes (this set complete) edited by the late John Munro, with an introduction by G. W. G. Wickham. The covers, red cloth with gold lettering on the spines, are sunned to the spines, a few of which are moderately slanted. There is occasional shallow edge wear, and a few light stains, but no significant stains and no notable stains of any kind to most. The gilt is consistently legible. The spines are securely attached, as are the front and back boards. There are no notable tears and very little edge curl. The insides are in very good condition, with no stamps or other attachments. There are no writings or notations. The bindings are solid, with no loose or missing pages. There are almost no stains, and none of consequence. All the lettering is clean and unfaded. There are no illustrations. There are a very few (I've found two) shallow edge tears, and a small number of corner creases.
