Lot includes FLOUR SIFTER BASKET "African basket utilizing several techniques; the top is checkerwork the sides twined and the bottom twilled."See: pg 42 Afro American Art & Craft by Chase (note: Flour sifter from Liberia, soft and flexible the basket is held between the hands and gently pressed while it is rotated back and forth thus shaking the cassava flour out between the fibers.
