Double Singing Bird Automaton by Bontems, c. 1910
With going-barrel movement, whistle and bellows on intermittent/continuous setting, birds with iridescent original plumage, articulated heads, wings and tails, in domed cage on gilded brass base, height 22 ½ in. (57 cm), with key no. 13. A classic singing bird automaton in very good working order.
