18th-19th century AD. A pair of large wooden female figures with hair parted in the middle and pulled back to a pony tail; bindi to the centre of the forehead and large earrings; series of necklaces to the chest and with bracelets and anklets; wearing a short blouse and with long flounced skirt; hands held to stomach and socketted for insertion of separate object; bodies twisted as if dancing and covered in polychrome decoration; metal hook to the back for display. 9.69 kg total, 60cm (24").
