Helmi Dagmar Juvonen (1903-1985). Northwest Seattle Washington artist. Original watercolor and gouache on thick paper or artist board. Depicting Native American children in Native attire. Including a boy doing a spirit dance, children on horseback, children in papoose, birds, a federal eagle with shield, mountains, nature (Southwestern) pottery, teepee along with native symbolism, butterflies, cell encompassed within or surrounding a six color rainbow. Signed Helmi lower right. Housed in orignal chestnut mid-century frame. Circa 1960. Condition: Small piece of glass missing on bottom left of frame. Sight size: 27" x 30-1/2". Overall size: 31" x 34-1/2". NB: In the Collection of the Seattle Art Museum, The Nordic Heritage Museum, Seattle.
