Late Regency metamorphic library chair with caned back and hinged seat rail folding over to convert to a four-tread library step, circa 1820-1840
Approx. height 34", width 22"

Condition

Wear commensurate with age and use. Some losses, nicks, dings, and abrasions to frame. Caning has likely been replaced. Mold residue and soiling. Felt steps are coming up. Seam separation. Needs cleaning.
