JOHANN BAPTIST HOMANN (GERMAN, 1664-1724) MAP OF THE WORLD hand-colored engraving on laid paper, "Planiglobii Terrestris Cum Utroq Hemisphaerio Caelesti Generalis Exhibito", published in Nuremburg. Retains period color. Housed under glass in a modern frame. Circa 1720. 19 1/2" x 22 3/8" plate, 22 1/2" x 26 1/8" OA.
Overall moderate toning and discoloration, light medial fold line and minor creases to margins. Frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.
