Early New England Queen Anne Candlestand made of select Caribbean mahogany, with one board oval tilting top, well formed ring and urn turned standard, three arch carved cabriole legs terminating in pointed pad slipper feet. Attributed to the workshop of Joseph Short, Newburyport, MA. Third quarter 18th c., 28" tall, 16 1/2" x 23". Very good condition.
