Description
Origin: Ottoman Empire. Ottoman dagger finely and richly decorated with corals and turquoise stones, dated to late 18th / early 19th c.Total length in scabbard - 25,2 cm, without scabbard - 23,4 cm, blade's length - 12,9 cm, width - 2,4 cm.Blade: The slightly curving upward tapering blade with remains of koftgary decoration on ricasso.Handle: The waisted hilt and scabbard of silver, decorated to one side with turquoise and coral inlay and to the other in repoussé with floral and foliate motifs. 18 corals, one missing.
Condition
Several stones are missing. Minor dents on the silver.
