AMERICAN OR BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) CUT-AND-PASTED SILHOUETTE OF A GENTLEMAN, inscribed "By Ch. Barber circa 1820" verso. Housed under eglomise glass in a period gilt frame. Circa 1820. 2 3/4" x 2 5/8" sight, 9 1/4" x 8 3/8" OA.
Very good visual condition with minor toning. Frame with wear, cracking, and possible old repairs to corner ornaments. Not examined out of frame.
Provenance: From a Pittsburgh, PA area private collection.
