Lithographic posters comprising: 1.) Text only poster boldly headed "British Subjects / It Is Your Duty / To / ENLIST / In The / British Or Canadian Army." The body of the poster continues with explanations of who is eligible and the duration of their service, then concludes: "For particulars appy to the nearest United States Army recruiting station or nearest British consulate or HEAD QUARTERS BRITISH RECRUITING MISSION 280 Broadway (corner of City Hall Square) New York." 2.) Poster depicting the British flag casually presented with loose folds by illustrator Guy Lipscombe and published in New York City. Boldly headed "BRITISHERS" wiith the footer "ENLIST TO-DAY." This graphic was aimed at encouraging British citizens living in the United States to enlist in the armed forces.
