Description
SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA WALNUT WORK TABLE, rectangular two-board top above a full-length drawer, raised on baluster-turned legs terminating in compressed-ball feet, original stretcher on three sides. Walnut and yellow pine secondary woods. Top with dry scrubbed surface, drawer and base with early, dry red wash. Probably Frederick or Shenandoah Co, VA. Circa 1780. 28" H, 48 3/4" W, 29" D.
Good as-found condition with expected cracking and wear, loss of front stretcher and drawer face, some rotting to feet.
