SIGNED VIRGINIA / TENNESSEE FEDERAL CHERRY BUREAU / CHEST OF DRAWERS, rectangular two-board top fitted with applied edge molding over four graduated drawers flanked by chamfered corners having lamb's tongue terminals, solid ends, raised on bold French feet, bottom of upper drawer signed "John W. Blair". Old refinished surface with warm color. Early 19th century. 38 3/4" H, 39 1/2" W, 19 1/2" D.
Cracks, wear, and possible minor repairs to foot facings. Brasses replaced with associated plugged repairs to facings. Some separation at one corner. Moderate areas of staining/discoloration to top.
