Description
Continental, late 19th century-early 20th century. A group of three Capodimonte porcelain pieces, including two urns with classical scenes and elaborate handles, and one figural group depicting putti playing with sheep, each marked for maker; plus, one center bowl with blue paint and portraits of Napoleon and wife Josephine, probably French, and one vase by Fischer & Mieg Pirkenhammer (Czechoslovakia) decorated with putti and courting couple; lidded vase ht. 13.5, wd. 6.75, dp. 5 in.
Condition
Capodimonte vase without lid has been drilled for a lamp base. Firing cracks on underside of figural group and at least one chip to leaf on putti. Loss to high-rub painted areas of center bowl and Czech vase.Â
