American Federal Gilt Wood Pier Mirror, 19th C., beveled glass, molded cornice with acorn, flanked by paired columns, central shell form surmounted crest decoration, labeled verso "Cary & Kenny 522 Broad Street Newark, New Jersey". Biography: "Antiquarian" Isobel Hinckley Glover, along with her husband Price Perkins Glover, were well known dealers and collectors of both Americana and 18th century English furniture and decorative arts. Price Glover, Inc. regularly exhibited at the Winter Antiques Show in New York and the Philadelphia Antiques Show. Isobel served many years on the board of directors for The National Antique and Art Dealers Association. The Glover family has a long history in the town of Litchfield,Connecticut.
