Description
An outstanding map of today's Myanamar and Thailand. Great deal of settlement detail is offered, especially noting many towns and villages along the Irrawaddy River. Many mountain ranges are prominently identified.
Sydney Hall (1818-1860) worked as a map maker at a time when the demand for highly decorative maps had declined. However, his renowned eye for detail was put to good use in the carefully crafted maps he produced. His focus on clarity and accuracy rather than elaborate decoration set him apart from many previous map makers.
