Technique: Original Hand Signed Colour Lithograph on vellum paper
Paper size: 27.6 x 35.6 cm / 10.9 x 14 in
Image size: 18.4 x 21 cm / 7.3 x 8.3 in
Additional Information: The lithograph is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Laboureur" in the lower left margins.
It is hand numbered in pencil "11/30"
This is a rare example of his lithographic work, which was only a small fraction of his graphic ouvre.
Laboreur learned engraving with Auguste Lepère and lithography with Toulouse-Lautrec (1895-1898). Although his works remained figurative, he discovered the cubism and often used geometrization and simplification of forms.
In 1923, Jean-Emile Laboureur founded the Association of painters and engravers who promoted etching, lithography, engraving or xylography.
