Ancient Roman Bronze Male Torso c.1st-2nd cent AD. Size of Torse 2 7/8 inches high. Fine Bronze Torso of naked Male figure with his left hand behind his back, leaning on a Tree branch. Condition:ancient crack on the leg otherwise perfect. Provenance: from the estate of Robert Thompson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bob represented the extensive dedication, scholarship, and attention to detail that the antiquity collecting community requires. Bob started collecting in the 1960s and dedicated a substantial portion of his time to the acquisition, attribution, and conservation of his collection.
