The archaic bronze cast ritual vessel is of cylindrical form, the body cast with mythical birds and beast patterns, below an arched lifting handle, the domed lid covers incised archaic text at the rim.

西周 牛首提梁卣
青銅卣是盛行于商晚期至西周早期的盛酒禮器，大小介於彝和罍之間。此卣呈扁圓體，深腹下垂，鼓腹，直口，外罩式子母扣蓋，蓋頂隆起，上有提梁，下為高圈足。提梁兩端獸首與卣頸兩側半圓環系套合，器腹所飾三層浮雕饕餮紋，卷角凸目，陰刻線勾形，雲雷紋為底，兩側有倒立夔龍紋。器口沿部位有銘文。整個器物造型凝重精良，整體紋飾氣勢威嚴。此青銅卣包漿圓潤，鑄技精湛，為西周早期難得的珍品。
