Belle Epoque silver plated chandelier, Early 20th c., possibly E.F. Caldwell, with beautifully cut and etched frosted glass dome shade, no signature visible, approx. 35"h x 13"dia.
Provenance: Estate of Huguette Clark
Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corocoran Gallery, Washington in 1925
