Handsome English Mahogany Folding Library Ladder

fourth quarter 19th century, the leather-covered exterior with brass nailhead trim, opening to reveal the cleverly designed mahogany ladder.

In overall very good condition. The extended ladder is solid and functional. The rungs are firmly affixed to the rails. All brass tacks are present. The leather exhibits some scattered scuffs. There is an area of lifted/unglued leather, along the edge where the eyelet is, from rubbing by the hook that holds it in its folded position.
