Description

A significant sculptural tramp art - folk art conical based pedestal box with four drawers. One of the best tramp art objects with an impressive texture of patterning and exhibiting a rich patina. The conical spheres supporting the top are 22 layers deep. It has hearts on its base and an attractive carved flourish on its top. The wooden cigar boxes used to assemble this amazing sculpture were from the Lancaster, Reading area in PA. The tax stamp on the cigar boxes dates the box to the 1880s – 1900. 14" high x 12" wide x 8.5" deep
