Description
With over 25 years' experience in watchmaking, BRM makes no more than 2,000 watches a year. In an atelier near Paris, Bernard Richards works in great secrecy on this art handed down through his family. True Technical virtuosity with no stamped cases with built-in lugs, but rather separate machining of each component with a case being made up of 18 different components.
The BRM philosophy….."It’s from the excellence of the details that performance is born".
The buckle of the strap has no fewer than 12 parts and
The case of this watch is machined out of a single bar of titanium and offers up a checkered flag motif reminiscent of race car heritage. The independent lugs machined out of the finest 18/8 grade stainless steel are attached to the case via screws specially milled for this watch, taking the whole custom made theme to new level.
Protected by a sapphire crystal, the black dial has seen 20 individual paint transfers to ensure the utmost perfection. For the hands, Bernard Richards designed perforated batons, a throwback to racing car pedals.
At the heart of this watch is a BRM/ETA automatic movement 2824/2 fitted with an exhibition back.
From selecting the best metals, to setting the case, each stage of production is unique. During production the watch was never shaped by deformation, only through the milling of the materials, hence leaving the molecular structure intact. The machining tolerances throughout are more like those used in purpose built race cars than in watchmaking!
Watch is in like new condition, no dings, scratches or wear is visible.
