Description
An outstanding Greek terracotta figure of a seated woman, 3rd – 2nd Century BC, on integral base, very naturally posed seated on a rock, wearing chiton and himation, her features beautifully detailed and the folds of her garments are wonderfully modeled and flow around her body. Well preserved with traces of original paint beneath mineral deposits. 8 in x 5 5/8 in (20.3 x 14.2 cm). A wonderful piece with excellent eye appeal and comes with two tiered custom black and white banded marble base. Ex Florida private estate.
