Framed 18 1/4 x 30 1/4 in.
Provenance: Dr. Bob Brictson Estate
Lot essay: A gardener and horticulturist, Toussaint Saint Pierre started painting in 1972. His modernist color block technique softened with lines and dots is primarily a communion with birds, plants and flowers. Married to an 'hounsi' (who is associated with a 'lwa' or spirit) Saint Pierre also portrayed the many 'lwas' that would visit the garden.
