This lot consists of an Original Gouache and Ink on Heavy Paper Signed ''Chagall'' in the lower right. Done in the expressionist style of Marc Chagall (1887 - 1985). The image is a version of ''Sarah And Abimelech''. The Abimelech's thick hands reaching for Sarah after Sarah and Abraham enter Gerar, and Abraham misrepresents her as his step-sister, not his wife. Abimelech will never touch her, due to God's intercession making this painting one of desire and divine denial.
