Description
The beautifully designed and detailed plan of the City of Siam, or Ayutthaya, the former Thai royal capital, from the atlas of Prevost d'Exiles' influential collection of travel narratives, Histoire Generale des Voyages. This scarce plan includes a letter key to the principal monuments and streets of the city, including the Grand Palace, the French Ambassador's home, China Street, and the Street of the Elephants, and identifies three areas that are rural or "very rural."
